Ali Can Zeray / Edirne, Nov 6 () – Governor of western province Edirne has inaugurated a newly built watering trough, providing drinking water for cattles, with an official ceremony held in Azatlı Village. While opening the troughs, participants even sang the Turkish National Anthem.
The Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock has initiated the construction of watering trough for animals in 13 villages.
The troughs were inaugurated with an official ceremony, accompanied by the Governor, along with the District Governor, Gendarmerie Command, Provincial Director for National Education, and the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, and villagers. Turkish flags were hanged for this “high-level ceremony”.
“I love animals”
The Governor Dursun Ali Şahin made a speech following the ceremony where attendees stood in silence and even sang the Turkish National Anthem.
Şahin said that he has attended the ceremony “because he loved animals”.
“These troughs are of high importance for animals. The milk yield of animals will increase after drinking water from these troughs” underlined the Governor.
“I love animals. Do not underrate animals” he urged.
