Istanbul, March 4 () - A Turkish Airlines jet, landing in dense fog in the Nepalese capital Katmandu, has skidded off a slippery runway, one injured, on March 4.
The plane with 235 people on board was coming from Istanbul, Turkish Airlines said in a statement. "All passengers and the crew was rescued and transferred to the terminal building. One injured passenger was transferred to the hospital and is under treatment."
The runway was slippery after two days of rain and there was dense fog at the time. The plane was stuck in the grass and there was severe damage to the front of the Airbus 330.
