Ferit Demir / Tunceli, July 22 () – While nationwide protests after the deadly Suruç massacre accelerate, a female high school student Neslihan Albayrak staged a sit-in all by herself to protest the massacre having left 32 people killed, in front of the ruling AKP’s (Justice and Development Party) headquarter in southeast province of Tunceli.
Having remained still for 1.5 hours, the protester told journalists, “A massacre had occurred yesterday. This is not a massacre to be swallowed or be forgiven. This is a democratic form of protest. Thirty-two young friends of ours were slaughtered in Suruç. Through this protest, I aim to express my reaction”.
The young protester Albayrak, after having staged a single-handed sit-in, left the scene after 1,5 hours.
