Istanbul, July 20 () - Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) co-chairmen condemned the suicide bombing in Şanlıurfa’s Suruç district. HDP co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş has made a declaration on Europe-based Med Nuçe TV, regarding the explosion.
“The key point is that our people have to ensure their own security henceforth. The province and district governances should ensure their security. Look, I allege that all those young ones who were going to make a press release had been registered. Security forces have the information of who were present in the area during the incident. No one should fool others. The state have the intelligence of who will come and who will leave” said Demirtaş slaming the government.
Having released a press statement, HDP has also enounced that the party is ready to act collaboratively with other parties and groups.
HDP’s press statement has pointed out “The fact that revolutionists from Turkey, acting with solidarity for Kobane, had been targeted right after the anniversary of the Rojava Revolution reveals an attempt of breaking the international solidarity around Kobane. This is a message declaring “Give up this solidarity”.
Ankara officials were also on the firing line: “Those who remain silent against ISIL, those who do not dare to speak up, the Ankara officials who threaten the HDP day after day while caressing ISIL’s (the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) head are the accomplices of this vandalism” asserted the writen statement.
“Everyone should be in solidarity. We will evaluate the developments during the Central Executive Board meeting, and will inform our people” added HDP co-chair Demirtaş in his speech.
