Mehmet Çınar / Antalya, Oct 27 () - A sports hall in Serik district of Antlaya, where the G-20 Summit will be held on Nov. 15-16, is will be used for “hosting” local and foreigner protesters, urging the number could be high both for women and men during the events.
According to the request of the District Governorate, the 100. Yıl Sports Hall and Serik Police Department will be used as provisional detention center against potential “illegal social events”.
“Within the decision, the necessary number of lawyers will deployed, on duty 24 hours a day, and the hall will be in use in coordination with district police department, between Nov 9-18” said the announcement.
The G-20 Leaders Summit is expected to host world powers such as Barack Obama, Vladimir Putin and Angela Merkel, along with leaders from 20 countries leading the global economy.
