Kayseri, Oct 28 () - Justice and Development Party (AKP) is accused of paying citizens some money, through discretionary fund, under the name of “Presidency payment”.
According to oppositional Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Kayseri MP Süleyman Korkmaz and Republican People’s Party (CHP) Kayseri MP Çetin Arık, “around 5 to 7 thousand liras have been payed to certain people, at post office departments,” accusing President Erdoğan and the AKP of “election fraud”.
“AKP and President Erdoğan, who has been breaking his oath since the first day and betraying impartiality, patronizing the party, have begun to fear of the ballot boxes” slammed CHP’s Arık.
MHP MP Korkmaz added they have already detected two people that have received this payment through the post office in Kayseri, asking where the money came from and who were the targets, as the crucial Nov. 1 elections approach.
The AKP has been accused of distribution free coals, clothing and food particularly in suburbs to gain votes, while the party representatives have been defending those were social aids.
