Turkey: One boat owner amongst every 2,000 people
The yacht and boat industry in Turkey reaches around 5 to 5,5 billion dollars, including sub-industry, as the trade rates see 450 million euro in the country.
Turkey hosts 62 marinas with a capacity for around 17,500 yachts, while in the country with a coastal strip of 8,333 kilometers, one person owns a boat among 2,000 people.
Despite certain flaws in the industry such as the lack of capacity for marinas and mooring areas, and the high rents, as the 3rd leading country of mega-yacht production in the world, Turkey’s industry resumes growing by 20 percent every year.
